New Gold Standard in Abdominal Fat Reduction

In contrast with other energy-based treatments for fat reduction, eon has a novel and highly effective cooling system that maintains patient comfort while the laser reduces the unwanted fat tissue. “The device’s patent-pending cooling technology allows us to deliver a higher degree of energy per treatment as demonstrated in our trials, resulting in greater average fat reduction,” explains Janet. “The device works by inducing apoptosis, a process that gently kills the fat cells, which are eliminated through the lymphatic system and normal kidney function.”

Further describing eon, Janet says, “Another unique feature is the use of the robotic arm which delivers the laser treatment.” After the patient and physician agree upon the area to be treated, the robotic arm scans the topography of the treatment area. Once the process is initiated, the robotic arm automatically and accurately moves the laser head over the area without touching the patient.

Real time-monitoring of skin temperature ensures patient safety and comfort. According to Janet, “it even compensates for patient movement.” Finally, eon is operated using a highly intuitive interface, which has been compared to an iPhone.

The treatment is entirely touchless and there is little or no discomfort and no patient downtime. The device can even treat those small troublesome fat areas that other body contouring devices are not capable of addressing, such as specific fat pockets. It has been very popular among aesthetic practitioners and they have described its design as “Lamborghini meets Apple” and “elegant in its simplicity.”
